After fighting in the 2003-invasion of Iraq, Andrew “Swede” Borene made an impressive career in and out of governmental positions:
He is a former senior officer in the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) where he served as Group Chief of an interagency team responsible for policy and planning of counterterrorism operations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa, on behalf of The White House National Security Council.
In addition to various military awards, Borenes civilian recognition includes the FBI Director’s Award and the ODNI Exceptional Achievement Award.
